Mamma Mia! has become the UK's fastest-selling DVD of all time.
It sold more than 1.6m copies on the first day of its release.
The previous sales record was held for 10 years by Titanic, which sold 1.1m DVDs on its first day.
The ABBA movie has also beaten the Star Wars Trilogy, The Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to become Amazon.co.uk's biggest-selling DVD of all time.
Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company, said: "This is an absolutely phenomenal opening day for Mamma Mia! - we genuinely have never seen its like before in 10 years of tracking DVD retail sales."
