Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - New and old Grammy winners will perform at the nominations for the 2009 Grammy Awards Wednesday night, which is -- surprisingly enough -- being called "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night."
Celebrity News Service realizes that last year's Grammy's weren't a "must-see" event by many, so the Grammy folks are trying to change that by kicking the nominations up a notch. They nominations will be announced in six categories and the show will be hosted by Taylor Swift and LL Cool J.
The hour will include performances by Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, the Foo Fighters, B.B. King, John Mayer and Taylor Swift at the Nokia Theatre.
A celebration of the Grammy Museum's grand opening in Los Angeles and the concert will mark the first time nominations in the top categories have been announced in prime time.
So if you are up for another TV concert, then the nominations show will most likely entertain you. If not, and you want to wait for the real thing, the "51st Annual Grammy Awards" ceremony will take place February 8.
"The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" will air Wednesday night on CBS at 9/8c.
