Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne claims that while Cheryl is popular in the UK, her success will be eclipsed by that of Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, who is also tipped for the US panel.
She told Now magazine: “Cheryl’s perfect for England – she’s the nation’s sweetheart and they absolutely love her. But over here it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.”
